We are pleased to announce that Westin Drives was named winner of the Contribution to Skills and Training Award at the 2024 AEMT Awards.

The company was also a finalist in two further categories: Supplier of the Year and Service Centre of the Year

The awards were made at a gala dinner in Coventry, where members of our team met industry friends old and new. And they follow other successes in recent years.

In 2018, Westin Drives was named AEMT Service Centre of the Year and our Technical Services Manager, Adam Daffern, was a finalist in the Rising Star awards in 2022.

The citation for this year's award said: "Westin Drives is committed to fostering talent and ensuring its team remains at the forefront of industry advancements.

"Through continuous training programmes, apprenticeships, and skill development initiatives, the company invests in its workforce to enhance their expertise. The focus on upskilling new and existing employees drives innovation and strengthens its ability to meet the evolving needs of clients."

Fraser Lynch, Operations Director at Westin Drives said: "We are delighted to have won the Skills and Training award. I am aware that a business is only as good as its people and training has always been part of the Westin way, an investment for the future."

Several employees who began their careers as apprentices in our workshop are now in management positions, ensuring the business is managed by skilled, experienced individuals.
