How we transformed a glass firm's conveyor motor

When our engineers finish a repair, the original doesn't just work well, it often looks like new. Take this motor gearbox. It is fitted with a back stop that drives a conveyor in the glass recycling industry.
This device allows it to run in one direction, so if the conveyor is stopped, it doesn't allow it to start creeping backwards under the weight of the loaded conveyor.

As it routine with all machines that arrive for repair, we cleaned and inspected all parts and measured and recorded all critical dimensions. We then supplied & fitted new:
Bearings
Motor shaft seals
Oil seal journal repair sleeve
Gearbox shaft seals
Backstop
Torque arm
The motor gearbox was then filled with new oil, given a test run, finished with paint and returned to a satisfied customer. Great work here by our service centre team.
