Take Friday, when we received a call from a large confectionary manufacturer faced with a motor and gearbox failure on one of its lines.
A quick solution was required to get the line back up and running and we collected the damaged units at once. But inspection showed that a repair, while possible, would have taken several days.
So we proposed that we supply a new motor and build a new gear box using a our Radicon rapid build facility. The solution was accepted and both units were returned to a delighted customer on Saturday morning.
A senior engineering manager at the company said: "The new gearbox seems much quieter and smoother than the SEW so the operations staff are very pleased. Thank you for the efforts and swift comms over the weekend, much appreciated."
