At Cummins Turbocharges I have to ensure our machines are capable and available for production at all times. In the event of breakdown I sometimes have to rely on local support for urgent repairs. Westin Drives can often give that support. In the event of failure of obsolete motors, their engineers can strip and repair the motors, sometimes overnight, which minimises our downtime. They will also supply and deliver new motors on an urgent basis if required.
After the opening of their new extension, we were invited to look around. We met the workforce and became familiar with ‘the voice on the phone’. We also got a good understanding of what they offer besides motor supply and repair. Since then they have made various machine parts for us which in the past we have had to procure from the OEM for the machines we look after. I feel we have a great working relationship with Westin Drives and their value and support to our rigorous productions demands is essential.

Towards the end of the weekend, Cadbury contacted our emergency engineer and reported a fault with one of their compressors. Our engineer attended the Cadbury site on the Sunday night, diagnosing the problem as a motor failure. I then contacted Westin Drives and obtained a replacement motor that same night. By Monday lunchtime it was installed and Cadbury's compressor was again operational with no loss of production.'
