Westin engineers take centre stage

Audiences at a Yorkshire theatre may never give a second thought to the safety of the actors on stage – but staff at Westin Drives do.

Our qualified electrical engineers are responsible for servicing and maintaining the motors and ancillary equipment of the four stage lifts in the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield.

The technical names of the elevators are 'pit', 'forestage', 'thrust' and 'mega-thrust' and they allow theatre staff to modify the layout of the stage according to the needs of each production.
