Where have we come from?

Over the years the company has grown to include a number of facilities for the industry and built on our strong foundation of customer service. Here at Westin Drives you will find everything you need for all your electrical & mechanical needs from new motors to rewinds and repair, a wide range of Inverters & control gear, gearboxes and much more ....

Westin Drives was established in 1921 by Walter Stanley Westin, to carry out the repair of electric motors for local industry and commerce. Over the years the company has grown to include facilities for the electrical and mechanical repair of a wide range of equipment also on site fault finding, electrical installation contracting, motor control system design and building as well as selling a comprehensive range of motors, gearboxes, pumps motor control etc.

As part of our ongoing business expansion, we can now offer a comprehensive range of electric automation drives & motor control equipment. We are also able to offer a full installation & design service to all our customers. Please contact us for further details.

We are proud to announce that in the first quarter of 2007 we became a Lenze Authorised Partner, this enables us to supply their range of Drives, Motors, Geared motors, Servos and all associated products.. As we are also a Hitachi Authorised Dealer we can also supply their range of PLCs and HMIs amongst others.

We offer an onsite Installation & design service, as part of this we have Electrical and Electronic engineers available. Who can come out onsite and discuss your requests. Most companies do not operate on a 9-5 basis. We are therefore available 24hrs a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. Simply call our out of hours number 01484 453399 for a fast reliable response. We have a clean modern workshop facility and also have the additional space to invest in much larger stocks of new motors etc so as to offer the fast “off the shelf” delivery response demanded by many industrial users of motors and motor control gear.
